introduction
Welcome to the Spring 2021 edition of California Lutheran University’s Morning Glory literary magazine. Although our fully virtual format is a departure from previous years, it has presented a unique opportunity to showcase not only poetry, prose, photography, and visual art, but also audio and video submissions. The Morning Glory includes work from Cal Lutheran’s students, staff, and alumni, and displays the outstanding creativity and talent within our community.
This year’s theme of "Time" serves both as a nod to the Morning Glory’s 50th anniversary, celebrated in 2021, and our intention to create a kind of time capsule representing our lives, communities, and creative pursuits during a period of global confusion and isolation.
It has been the pleasure of the 2020-2021 English department assistants to assemble this year’s Morning Glory. Please enjoy our website as we wish you a safe and creative year ahead.
